I'm currently creating lot of donuts, and will post my progress here. The playlist is really fun to follow, Andrew is a fantastic teacher. The tutorial is great for beginners or advanced users who could use a bit of a refresher. A free tutorial that guides users through a crash course in Blender. Blender as a software was already overwhelming because of its strange and complicated interface and concepts, and the learning material was making it worse.Īnyway, this week when Youtube's algorithm decided I should care about Blender, I quickly found out that a lot of high quality learning material is now available for free and if very high resolution! I decided to go with Blender Guru's playlist "Blender Beginner Tutorial Series". The Blender Guru has returned with his third installment of his popular Donut Tutorial series where you 'create donuts you cant eat'. I can still remember how confusing video tutorials (or written tutorials) where at the time, with terrible audio, low resolution, and in general instructions that were confusing and difficult to follow. It is 1440p 60fps and took 3. I learnt a lot of different skills, tips and tricks during this series which I can then use in future projects of my own. following the blender guru donut tutorial for blender 3.0 and I cant get my geometry nodes to appear on the icing at all Need Help Locked post. This was a very enjoyable process, especially as he was quite in engaging in his delivery of the tutorial. Blender is an awesome open-source software for 3D modelling, animation. On my first try in the back you can see that the sprinkles barely touch the icing. I decided to follow Blender Gurus new Blender 2.8 update Donut tutorial to further my skills in blender. I tweaked the Scale Settings in Instance on Points to get it right. I created a second mesh to practice on, but the sprinkles look kind of flattened. At the time seeing what they were doing piqued my interest and I tried to learn how to use Blender as a past time activity, though I never got to the point of creating something interesting. This is the result of completing Blender Gurus donut tutorial. I am following the Blender 3.0 Tutorial: Donut part 9/10. I've first learned about Blender more than 10 years ago from friends who were quite serious at making 3D content. That was enough to convince me to look for Blender tutorals as I was failing to get any good results by my own. Hendy's progress as seen in the video is very impressive to say the least, and the scene he created and showcase at the end talks to me. He is also Founder & CEO of Poliigon which provides high quality 3D assets that support the world’s leading 3D artists. Such as this really cool progress report from Hendy August: Andrew Price, AKA Blender Guru, is a famous YouTuber who is particularly known for his Donut tutorials on Blender. I had decided to do a simple logo in 3D using Blender for a side project, and somehow the suggestion algorithm picked that fact and decided to list videos of people documenting their progress creatin 3D content. A few days ago Youtube's algorithm had a small surprise for me.
